Went out garage saleing this morning with a little luck. Bought another large cooler, like new, for $5. (We recently learned it's good to have extra coolers in case your frig goes out.)

A pair of new Crocks for $8. I have an extra wide foot and usually can't even find ones that fit at the Crocks store, so when I spot a new pair that do fit I jump on it. I think I'll just wear these around the house. If I went near a high school wearing them I would probably get beat up. On the other hand if I wore them to some "sports bars", I would probably get hit on.

The wife struck out this time. As riveting as I'm sure you all find this, I think that's enough.

Found these two tins at an antique store today. Got both for $6.00. The Carolina Gem Mixture tin still has a small amount of tobacco in it. View attachment 433125View attachment 433126View attachment 433127

Great little find, particularly on the Carolina Gem tin! You just don’t see those in the wild much at all.
I frequently see various Middleton’s tins in my antique and thrifting exploits with my wife; most frequently seen around my neck of the woods from that company (outside of Prince Albert tins) are the ubiquitous plaid Kentucky Club Mixture and their Cherry Mixture tins.

I’d love to hear the stories that Carolina tin could tell, if it could only talk!

hahau Garage sales suck right after Thanksgiving. First there are not very many and second the ones there are contain almost nothing but junk. Didn't have much luck today, unless you call buying a pair of new cold weather gloves, 2 bottles of Colgate mouth wash and a box of 10 new light bulbs, all for $12..... lucky. puffy

Yes, the garage sales here have all but disappeared. I usually hit the thrift and antique stores this time of year. Hit a few antique stores and one thrift shop this morning, didn't find anything other than a couple of glass canisters in the thrift shop to store some wet aromatic tobacco or other pipe accessories in. I got both for $1.00 each. I put a quarter in photo for size reference. They just need a good cleaning.

Today's antique store finds. There is a huge antique store close to me, and today I found all this.
First was a pipe rack with the two pipes. One is a trash cob, but the other pipe is marked GBN SELECT Made in London England. I couldn't find much info on it??? Anyone have any info? Got the two pipes and pipe stand for $17.50.
Next, I found a Linkman's Dr Grabow trade stimulator store punch card to try to win cigarettes or a pipe. Paid $5 for it, and it was never used.
Then, I found a Torben Dansk Extra 109 Pipe for $10. It's in decent shape. Needs some cleaning and stem has some chatter.
Last, I found a copper Marlin ashtray for $4.50. It works good as a pipe stand.

I found this Falcon set at the flea market today, I didn't have neither the bowl nor the stem, used but in good condition, needs some cleaning - restoration, costed 15 Euros, I bought it.
Afterwards I noticed that the black o-ring at the outer base of the bowl is missing but I don't think this is a big issue...

The older bowls didn’t have o rings. If the bowl fits it may be an older one.
