These seem to have been made between the late 1940's through the 1960's. They seem to be linked most closely with Eugene J. Rich and Custombilt's later owners, though other sellers also marketed them. It seems to use the same screw concept as the Kleen Reem but with Buttner style floating blades.

I do not know which came first, if the Custombilt reamer is the improved version or if the Ranger reamer is the simplified version...

Has anyone used this type of reamer, and is it any good?

The only thing I've been able to find out about these is a brief mention on the reborn pipes blog, "...The Rogers Rocket is a bit of overkill but works well on U shaped bowls as the blades are adjustable."

That's it.

I don’t have any paperwork, the screw pushes out on the four blades and it’s very sturdy and quite adjustable for conical bowls. For straight walled bowls I prefer the Pipnet set. I have two of those as well.

That's rather disappointing. I was hoping it would be a good alternative to the Pipnet, as vintage sets are rather dear these days, and modern replacements... Suck.

I guess I'll be continuing to rely on the Danish reamers for my straight walled bowls.
