By the way, how are the 3 part C stems as far as bite zone thickness and resilience to oxidization?
Comoy's stems are "clicky" and they have a thin button (and for me, the reasons they are most comfortable to smoke). If you are a hard clencher, they will crack eventually.

Oxidation - better than most British brands of the era.

Here's my first Comoy's-stamped briar, an estate Tradition pot, Shape 126, which I recently purchased from the Forums' ssjones. This pipe is pre-Cadogan production and features the three-part "C" logo in the stem. Once the temperature here in Dogtown gets above freezing I am looking forward to giving it its baptism by fire!

This pipe joins five Comoy's seconds in my collection: two Guildhalls, one Everyman, one Townhall, and one Royal Coachman. All are good smokers, and I expect the Tradition to be the same.

Beautiful pipe, Hunter. Comoys are among my favorites of the English made pipes. I too have gotten a couple from Alan.

Choatecav:

Thank-you!

Up until this purchase, all of the major British marques (with the exception of a branded Comoy's) were represented in my collection. Based upon the solid performance of my Comoy's seconds I knew that I wanted one, but only this touched all of the requisite bases.
