Deluxe systems are 1 of my favorite lines. I have 4 of them-20s, 11s, 9s, and 4s. The former 3 are smooth finished and the latter is blasted.
Enough with all this positivity! Let's get negative! 
What don't you like about Petes?
For me it's the fat, rounded shank/stem like on this Sherlock Holmes. It immediately turns me off.
I'm also not a big fan of the gap between the shank and stem in the system pipe. Looks incomplete to me.

One more of the gifted pipes got cleaned up. I am pretty sure this is a very early K briar Pete, but need to do some more research on the line.

Late to the party, but this combo rocks.
The reverse, bottom, and front of the 9S is amazing, but I love the shape of the 4S.After today's restorations, I might have finally found a De Luxe system to call my ownthose two are one of the most stunning pipes I have ever had in my hands!

Thanksgiving gifts to me! I was on the fence about the new Dublin Pub and was in a hurry and ordered a regular straight Pub with the exquisite version of the Strand (which will be in the garage very soon!). Found a Dublin I liked and ordered that as well and all three showed up yesterday. The regular, straight Pub I'm pretty sure will be on its way back for an exchange, so I guess I can browse while breaking in the new Strand, lol.
