Its not a secret that the hey day and golden age of british pipe making is (unfortunately) long gone.
But nevertheless, are there still british pipe brands and makers out there that do classical style shapes, like were done in the past by Barling, Comoy, Charatan etc.?
Or is Dunhill the only one left?
Yes there are high end makers like Askwith, but I wouldnt say he does classical style pipes.

And Thats about it..

Er, no, mate. There's Hardcastle and Ben Wade, but I'm not sure if they still produce. There's Charatan, still producing. There's also: Pete Ellam (Invicta Briars). There's Eldritch Pipes. Yeah, he does weird stuff but I've seen more traditional things from him. There's Parker Pipes but I'm not 100% sure they are still manufactured in England.
And I believe there are a few young guys who emerged on the market over the last few years.

There are also the new Barling pipes in 9 mm but I don't know if they are made in England.

The Eldritch acorns are a thing of beauty. He makes a number of really wild pipes but also makes some beautiful standard shapes, often with a little twist. i look forward to his weekly Youtube presentations. Interesting guy.
Where’s the standard shapes?

Jimmy Craig is still producing Ashton pipes. He's kept the standard English shape chart alive and the sandblasts are still as deep and craggy as ever.

Ian Walker still produces Northern Briars, if I'm not mistaken. Also classical shapes.

Dunhill still turning out pipes, though I feel the production is down in the last couple of years just judging by what goes up on the sites like SP.

That's not a good sign.
