Floated back down to the barn and the firepit after feeding. Had some more Haunted Bookshop in a MM cob. Had sparkling water to drink.
Doubt we will have many trick or treaters tonight as we live back in the country and so many of the kids now go to the "Trunk or Treats" that the churches put together.

No, we get swarmed in our neighborhood on the outskirts of Oak Ridge. They come from several towns around the area. It’s general mayhem for several hours.

No, we get swarmed in our neighborhood on the outskirts of Oak Ridge. They come from several towns around the area. It’s general mayhem for several hours.

Also, I see another Waterloo I’ve yet to try. Got to see if the wife can add that to our Kroger order.

Well, I am glad that it is still a tradition elsewhere. I like seeing the kids dress up and come around. Reminds me of times past.

As to the Waterloo, yes, they keep coming up with different flavors. I like that there is just a "hint" of the essence and not a strong overpowering taste.

I did. That actually went easier than than expected, the little 1.8L motor was surprisingly easy to wriggle around to get things lined up. I was done before the bowl of Kendal Mixed was

Taking out a couple of 1922s today - being Dad’s birth year.

Dad passed away on Wednesday, after a short illness (influenza), 3 days short of his 103rd birthday

I can’t recall ever seeing him with a pipe, but he smoked cigarettes for years - Players Navy Cut, Lucky Strike, Peter Stuyvesant, Benson&Hedges.
He stopped smoking in 1985 after a heart attack

The owner of the local pipe shop recently recommended a couple of tobaccos he thought might interest me and he was right. I had a mixed bowl of 90% Wessex Red Virginia Flake with 10% Samuel Gawith 1792 flake mixed in. I rubbed both out well and dried them a bit and it was a really nice smoke! My home-made cob was just right for the task while I walked my dog through the woods looking for squirrels and birds.

On the way back to my house I ran into a Young bull moose who was getting a lot of attention so the dog and I took a circuitous route back to the house. All in all a nice day. I hope everyone has a nice Halloween without too many moose in your way.
