3 new castello coming in. Need your advice on tobacco to smoke it in and break in.

I recently got a g shape 74 old searock.

Lets say i was impressed and went hard on PAD.

I ordered

searock 4k shape 55
2k ledune shape 55
4k searock flame shape 10

Do let me know what do yall usually smoke in these shapes and which tobacco you use to break in these pipes.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Need your advice on tobacco to smoke it in and break in.

Whichever tobacco you enjoy smoking. A pipe's shape really has no influence on what should be smoked in it. Chamber dimensions maybe, but not the shape.

Smoke what you enjoy smoking. Use a wad of paper toweling to wipe off the chamber walls after smoking. Gradually you will build up a thin hard carbon insulation layer. Just smoke slowly and coolly while building up that insulation layer.

Thank you Bane. That will be Orlik and HOTW then. A lil skeptic on smoking virginia blends on such a short pipe though as they might burn hot haha

Yeah they are some gorgeous looking pipes. I really fell quite far into the rabbit hole

Haha oh well. This is my first time engaging in PAD tendencies. All my briars up till the castello chimney has been estates or passed down to me as a gift.

I mostly smoke my meerschaums.

Sometimes my GBD and my huge bulldog Ardor.

This feels like a Briar takeover.

Anyways, i wanted to get advice from folks who have bought and broken in brand new pipes before i go about doing my thing.

And what blend they smoke in their cute shape 10 castello pipes.

Hey, once again, thanks for this thread. Was really helpful.

Just start off with smoking mild virginias and burley. Which i was doing. Guess will have to buy more orlik very soon hehe
