I was given a couples containers of these bits from a friend. They are quite delicious when the time calls.

Anyone else fans of this product?

Looks like it is hard to come by in the US. I just learned that shipping chewing tobacco seems to be heavily regulated, (if my two minutes of “research” was correct.

I heard Brian Levine mention it once on the Radio Show. That’s the only mention I’ve heard of them.

I’m feeling disappointed as I finish off the few bits I have left. If anyone knows how to procure these little rope bits let me know.

I enjoy chewing G&H ropes but these bits are a different medium in my opinion. Also, ropes have gone up so much in price that it is hard to justify.

I saw these at two B&Ms that I visited last year: Winston's in Houston, TX (Rice Village), and Ted's in Tulsa, OK. I didn't get them as I didn't have a clue what they were, but now I'm intrigued!

Both of those B&Ms can take phone orders for shipping, by the way.

Thanks for the heads up. I saw that Iwan Reis cannot ship out of the state of Illinois. Not sure if this is a state by state call. I’ll give them a call.

Can’t sell them in states online I do not believe. Just like snuff.
B&M can sell them. They are costly, but they are not bad.

I wish I could find these things. I also heard about them on the podcast awhile ago and I’ve been searching for them since. My two H&M’s have snuff, like McCystals and one has house blends of snuff but I’d love to find the bits.

All plug chewing tobacco has disappeared online (except in Canada) as far as I can tell. Disappeared from my local Walmart too. Asked and was told they take it out of stores as they remodel them. Should have stocked up

Interesting that some items they just can’t sell. What puts snuff in the no ship category, ya know?

Come on Brad! Who do you work for. I just had ai scrub your posts and that’s what you blame it on 99% of the time.

But yes, I knew that was a dumb question. Just head scratching on where lines are drawn.

Yeah, really weird laws on tobacco.
Can sell it in one form online but not in other forms.
Guess it’s all about the $ and other people knowing what is best for you.

You can buy Oliver Twist from England online though….. when it’s in stock, which is rare.

My two main online shops in the UK seem to have them in stock. Six different flavours, including aniseed, two types of liquorice and a mint and a "fresh" besides the natural of Black. A Danish product.

Aniseed sounds tasty. How many pounds per container over there?

About £7.75, just over $10, for a 7 gram pack (¼ ounce). That's roughly equivalent to RYO prices here, twice the cost of pipe tobacco; snuff, which has no tobacco duty, is much much cheaper by comparison, say £1.50/$2 for that weight.

As for IRC not selling snuff, chew, or ciggarrette tobacco online, they blame "federal rules", but every plce selling ciggarrette and snuff and snus says the same thing in that state.
