I got some of them foam spools for my salmon gear. Pool noodles work great! Love the idea for pre-tied teeny flies going all the way to the leader loop!I hope it works for you. After a little practice, you might be able to tie them on in the dark. My other suggestion would be to pre-tie the flies to a length of tippet and change it out on an old leader, or use bulk tippet and bulk leader and change the entire fly/tippet/leader at the loop. They sell foam spools to keep everything nice and tidy. This time of year here on Long Island we're in the saltwater going for Striped Bass, Bluefish and False Albacore using 3/0-6/0 hooks and 20-25lb leader. I can tie these on wearing mittens in the dark. Best of luck.
Duuuude.Damnit, I’m a touch out of square (I still blame the wife fordistractinghelping). Oh well, it’s minor enough I can work through it, and the only one that’ll notice is me.
Refill with OJKB.
By the way, old Kaywoodies easily survive multiple drops from 12ft or so-at least on dirtView attachment 424874

Looks like a Perfect Day!Happy Sunday brothers. @kcmontie and I are digging in to all our favorite blends View attachment 424881

Jim, Is there any connecting thread you would identify for the "Old Ones" series?Just finished smoking C&D From Beyond (The Old Ones) Small Batch 2025 in a 1960s Austrian meerschaum bent apple with a tapered yellow stem. I've figured out the blend and after another bowl or two to be certain of my experience, I'll post the post here. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I’d considered that, but decided to stick with the couple of inches of parallelogramedness so as to not stress the tin screws ahead of what our winds will subject them to.Duuuude.
I dunno about this throwin the Mrs under the bus.
But ratchet straps, man.
Ratchet.

On the menu for my first smoke of the day was a bowl of KBV Van Gogh loaded in my birth year Stanwell POTY (1983) with an iced Americano on the side.

Afterwards, I enjoyed a bowl of CAO Moontrance that was gifted to me by a few colleagues from work loaded in my Canadian Club Pot.
