Returning to pipes, recommendations please

Hi, I’m returning to smoking pipes after a near 10 year hiatus and I’d like to try some new blends that have materialized over the years I’ve been away. My cellar is dwindling as I’d usually crack a tin on a yearly camping trip only.

My go to smokes in the past were orlik gs, dunhill flake, ps navy flake and escudo. Any recommendations as to what is decent along those lines? I really only like virginias/vapers/vaburs at this point. Emp was my favorite but now I can’t do the English blends and I have a cellar full of that.

I also like some blends with Turkish tobacco’s especially the McClellan single origin tins or along the lines of Sunday picnic.

GL Pease has done a couple of new blends that are VaPerOrs -- VaPers with Orientals added. Ellipsis Flake is a personal fave of mine, I have Geometrie but haven't cracked it yet. And if you're in the US and haven't tried B & M store blends yet, some of the best examples of the categories you mentioned are from places like Watch City, Peretti's, Wilke, Boswell's, and others. Support the domestic blenders who are still making great stuff!

Some of the Rattray’s offerings might work for you. Old Gowrie and Hal o the Wynd are both excellent.

Try Exhausted Rooster as I'd say its right in your wheelhouse.
