Killing the bottle with an Oliva Connecticut from a sampler pack. Very smooth and easy open draw! Perfect ash just dropped at 1.25"

My dad used to drink this stuff. But he never sprung for the Single Barrel. He also drank Chevas. Once i got to know what good whisky was i always thought it would have been fun to gift him an upgraded bottle of those marques he already enjoyed, like this single barrel offering or Chevas 18. Alas, by the time i would have had the knowledge and ability to do so he had mostly stopped drinking and smoking due to health issues.

How was it? I’ve not tried their Connecticut.
This one was just decent. But that's not surprising with the lighter body. There are very few milder cigars out there that have enough of what i'm looking for with a cigar. It did have a classic Honduran flavor profile for those that are into it. Certainly not a dog rocket by any means.

However, i tried the Corojo after a longer-than-planned set of appointments today.

This one started off on the milder side and quickly ramped up the flavor experience to what i would consider a good cigar and worthy of a repeat. This would actually be something i'd do after breakfast with coffee. I've always liked Corojo and this is no exception. 👍

I was originally going to smoke them all the same day, and i thought that was the plan today, but it got busy and the day got away from me. Will likely do the Vintage line tomorrow. Looking forward to that one.

Just simply put I find the Corojo is sweet spice, Classic is sweet cedar and the Vintage is sweet shortbread. I adore them all but the Corojo Reserva corona #4 is a whole grocery list of flavors and complexity.

A very hyped cigar: EP Carrilo Pledge Prequel.

The gold ribbon at the foot was supposed to protect the cigar: however it was wrapped tight and then stuck with a generous amount of tape, making it difficult to take off and risking damaging tue cigar. But I did manage to take it off, and after the initial annoyance the first 3 minutes is promising to be an exquisite cigar.
