A couple ounces were hiding in this 2017 pound bag in a big jar at the pipe shop I visited in Raleigh today.

Welcome backI have not acquired any tobacco in several years. I just wanted to say that having just recently picked up a pipe again for the first time in many months (or perhaps longer), I am feeling very pleased with the fact that I stocked up in the past. It feels like smoking for free, and knowing I'm unlikely to ever run out.
Just here to do a bit of enabling of the TAD tendencies.
Found some Peter Heinrich Dark Strong at my local shop today.

I got in 5 new to me blends from smokingpipes.com yesterday and I gotta say that their response to my order was immediate.
I got some Fathers &Friends Fire batch 002, HU Makhua, HU White Horses, G&H Sweet Peach, and Rattray's Red Lion. The peach was bulk packed and I could smell it through the package. I tried it first. It stayed peachy almost all the way to the bottom of a group 3 Tru-Grain. I've put all but the unopened HU blends into glass storage.

Fresher in a good way or fresher as in less mature and therefore less tasty?
I wouldn't say good or bad just different. I feel like FVF is firming in the fresh, grassy/hay bright virginias camp. Only thing with super fresh tobacco for me is the nicotine, knocks my socks off sometimes.
Yup. Tasted little less matured but pretty good.
I also smoked it fresh no age.
Maybe it’s a little lighter….but then again was fresh and no age.
While I normally don’t post trading TADs I couldn’t resist posting this one.
So here's the culmination of the 2 Smokingpipes orders combined with one from Watch City that i had shipped to the Air BnB while in the hospital room bored out of my skull. You'll have to forgive the cell phone quality as i don't have access to my digital SLR while travelling. A few stock up items and quite a few new-to-me to-try blends. Keeping the trip as fun as possible.

I don’t even care about cigars and it’s just so good. Rich, soft, deep, complex, and yes, a touch sweet. It made me try other cigar blends that weren’t on my radar before.

I never smoke a tinned C&D blend without a few hours spread out in the air and then a few days in the jar which is what I did with this.

I agree. Good stuff. I had a tin of this to try a while back. These are a couple for kicking around the smoking lounge. You have good taste.
Mostly a PAD acquisition but I did throw in an ounce of vanilla and an ounce of chocolate C&D cavendish out of curiosity.
