The other night I was visiting some friends and was given a cigar, pulled fresh from the box, banded only with a pink "It's a Girl". It was actually a Bobalu Cigar Company, Dark Shadow 27th Anniversary. Rolled at some place in Austin Texas, I'd never heard of them before. Turns out it was one of the best cigars I've had this year. At the midpoint I was getting a thick, rich, mint chocolate chip ice cream flavor. Definitely going to try and pick up a few more to see if they're consistently good! I didn't get a pic at the time but it was one of these...

Trying a 5 pack of Bobalou Torpedo Gordos my friend Kilgore liked, good price, American, why not!
Hope I didn't steer you wrong my friend. That was the only time I've ever tried one of their cigars, but it was outstanding. I have a sampler on the way, so I guess we'll see how it all pans out. Either way it just feels good to support a small shop right here in the USA!

Having an Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur I, English Claro Presidente, 7.2" x 54 at the Skylark Motel in Wildwood, New Jersey. I brought my trusty Nat Sherman travel humidor (made by Mastro de Paja) that I bought in the early ’90s at Nat Sherman when it was still on the corner of 42nd Street and 5th Avenue.

Our neighbours in PA, Steve and Randy, were vacationing here several weeks ago, when their car broke down. They had to leave their car in NJ and wait to see if KIA would honour their extended warranty and fix the engine (KIA did). Today, their car was ready, and we drove them down to Wildwood so that they could pick it up. We hung out on the boardwalk.

There are a lot of vintage cars in town for some kind of gathering or show.

We didn’t know why this guy got pulled over earlier; we later found out it was for drag racing!

The troll doll in the window was amusing.

I was told they taught Kentucky Gentleman how to blend and roll. FYI
I will probably be ordering a few as well.
