Got a wild hair, and took the better part of a tin of Bijou, rubbed it out and IMG_6835.jpegmixed it with some of my 80/20 red va and Perique blend, a bit of oriental silk and some more long cut Perique. About to have a bowl of all the components together, otherwise it’s waiting in a jar for a few weeks to get acquainted before I revisit this extremely spontaneous and lazy blend.

Post bowl update: it was pretty good, and I think I might press it all into a cake nnnn

Stanislaw Cars Old Timer Mixture

Description & Features
Blend: Mature Virginia from East Carolina with Perique and Kentucky, Ready Rubbed cut.
Taste: Mild, natural, with hints of dried fruits and spices; no noticeable topping.
Pros: Natural profile: no flavorings, stylistically close to McConnell Scottish Cake.
Depth: after some aging, notes of chocolate, peanut, and caramel appear.
Balanced strength (4/10): smooth burn, easy and comfortable smoke.
Cons: Needs aging: fresh tin may taste raw, improves significantly after 6–12 months.
Subtle character: Perique and Kentucky are restrained, may lack punch for those seeking a bolder blend.

Thats a really great idea as Pittsburgh is a fantastic town and I’ve never seen the Pirates!
Roberto Clemente has always been my hero. Imagine the joy of walking on the beautiful Clemente bridge and standing next to the statue of him.

Btw, if you go just past PNC, look to your right, and you'll see a very small park with wonderful relief sculptures.

Now smoking year 2012 St. James Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Tanshell octagonal paneled EK F/T billiard with a square shank and tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Sleepy Suzy is still by my side. The ferals have taken a cue from her because they're outside snoozin'. Molly Danger is laying near my feet.

Just came in from a late-night bowl in the warm southern air. Listening to the toads, cicadas and grackles cooing in the bushes. At least i think that was what was in the bushes. Probably my last smoke of the night, though i hate to give it up. 'Twas twilight in a Cinar cherrywood.

Every night on the back porch, I'm charmed by a constant din -- the sonorous choir of Southern Leopard Frogs, Gulf Coast Toads, and Northern Cricket Frogs. 🐸🐸

Passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2025 STG/MacBaren Capstan Original Navy Cut in a smooth brown medium bend 2002 straight grain Karl Erik Ekstravagant A dublin sitter with a small horn ferrule accent and black acrylic saddle stem. Putting the finishing touches on my review of this blend. Watching the Orioles-Padres game.

M'lady gave everybody their monthly flea medicine, none of whom were crazy about it. Tomato the Brave came in to eat, and play with catnip socks for a short while. Twice, when he wanted to go out, Harry the Hairy was at the door wanting in. They hissed and hissed each other, and both times Tomato ran to the kitchen. The second time that Tomato came back to the den, he was hissed by Molly Danger. I picked Tomato up, opened the door to let Harry in, and put Tomato down. He ran off very quickly. Harry ate and was easily bored after fifteen minutes, so he wanted out, too. Daisy the Feral Princess never wanted in today, so she ate outside. Sleepy Suzy slept through the whole thing so she could prove that she deserves her nickname.
