Alright what a couple of delivery days for PeteGeek... I went from not being able to find any pre- republic Petes for months, to getting my grubby fingers on 8... Potentially two or three more in transit.

Starting from the top down:
LEFT SIDE:
1. System grade (unknown for now, 2 maybe) sterling silver STAMP to be determined , but hallmarked 1929
2. System 304 grade 3 STAMP Made in Ireland in a circle
3. System 304 grade 0 the one from yesterday with the Made in england stamp
4. De luxe 9s no hallmarks Made In Ireland Block Stamp

RIGHT SIDE:
1. Killarney 106s made in Ireland
2. Killarney 606 made in Ireland
3. Kapmeer 406 made in Great Britain
4. Kapruf 999 made in Ireland block stamp ( as a giant 999 fan this one is the one I am the most excited about, since it's the earlier"John Bull" 999 shape)
Here is how it compares to a 999 Kapruf from the 60s or 70s

Oh boy what a day🤩
What a day indeed! I didn't know the 304 shape was a billiard before. Also the top on the left looks like a 313 (but maybe it had a different number before).

Looks like a 313 to me as well, by the apparent size and bend-doesn’t look to have the size/bend of a 309/4. From the hallmark @Dshift notes, I’d be looking hard for an IFS (Irish Free State 1922-1937) stamping…

That plus tariffs, it makes the price jump feel pretty significant.
Yeah. Add that to the new 125 order minimum for free shipping....Other websites look a little bit nicer. I always shopped on SP as they were the best deal and they seemed to take care of their loyal customers. I get that Tarriffs and other factors outside of their control are probably taking a hit on their margins, but send out an email to your clients explaining it instead of all of us finding out this way.

I am happy to report that I finally acquired one of my Holy Grail Peterson pipes: a 999 John Bull Author (not the more commonly seen 999 Rhodesian). I believe Tim @ashdigger was able to get Mark Irwin’s 999 Author a few years ago—I was happy for Tim, but incredibly envious. This one is a Shamrock for the American market; it has a number of fills, as might be expected for this budget line, but I am over the moon to have this pipe and excited to share it with my fellow Pete Geeks!

Beautiful,
Sort of a ball-author (?)

Maybe a budget line as you said but the shaping is right on to my eye

Seeing this, I 100% relate to what you said. It’s I also one of my holy grail pipes and I just have to share the after photos too now. I smoked it yesterday for the first time and it’s a great smoker too but what absolutely hooked me was the stem - it’s so chubby and robust, it just hangs effortlessly. Best p-lip I have ever experienced!

I have a number of different 999 pipes and will need to locate a 999 Chubby Rhodesian similar to yours at some point. It was so funny because I was surfing eBay the other week and it popped in my head to check on a 999 Author—I typed it in the search bar, and it was like it magically appeared before my eyes—like I willed the listing into existence. I lucked out that others didn’t want it as much as I did; I was fully expecting to pay three or four times what I got it for and was very relieved and happy when it finally arrived at my doorstep.

Very nice. The only Rhodesians I like are the chubby ones, (of which I have 1-a Dublin and London), with the exception of the Baskerville and Watson.
