That looks like a neat pipe rest. This is mine…

You can see it on dash just to the right of the Kangal sitting in the passenger seat.

This is two of them in my old truck. Now, I have three because the inset on my dash is longer. I need to get a new pic to post of these.

Anyways, thanks for sharing your new pipe rest.

I was initially hoping that your dog would hold the pipe for you when you needed to put it down. Still, I bet he's absolutely awesome.

She is amazing. But, unlike any dog I’ve ever ridden with, she rides like a human, sitting upright and looking straight ahead, until we get to a stop sign. Then, if there’s a dog or weirdo in the car next to us, she turns on 120 pounds of teeth and ear ringing barks.
She won’t hold my pipe, but she prevents anyone from messing with them. Ha ha

My new On-the-Go arrived yesterday and this thing is just as delightful as @Mike N suggested. The pipe holding section is big enough to hold a large Sherlock Holmes Milverton quite comfortably, and a diminutive prince also sits securely in the spot. The spot for pipe cleaners is deep enough to keep them in place, and lighters and tampers also fit well. Can confirm that it fits in a camp chair cupholder, haven't yet made it out to my car with it. $35 shipped to my door (including a bonus 3D-printed pocketjar), transaction took all of 4 days from first contact to product in-hand.

I did mention to the maker, Steve Jackson, that there are fellas here on the forum who are interested, but he obviously hasn't yet made it over. I'll encourage him again. He is on Facebook at "on the go tobacco accessories," and takes specific color requests for his products (this one was a limited-edition design).
