I do several of the NYT puzzles every day. Connections is my favorite but i save it to do before bed with my wife. We forgot to do it yesterday (so our 30+ day streak is over!) but I did yesterday’s online this morning and was also pleasantly surprised. Of all the ones to have missed

I saw that this afternoon on my lunch break and was rather surprised. And of course it was my first category found.
yeah, me too. was even about to create a post for it! hilarious that it was the third hardest grouping, but it stuck out to me like a sore thumb. glad our hobby is going mainstream (I think??)
Yeah I saw it and at first went "ain't no way" cause sometimes the puzzle will do that to you but I was pleasantly surprised.
That was my thought too. Then I thought well, most people might not put that together. It only clicked for my wife in her late 40's a couple of years ago that pipe cleaners are called pipe cleaners because that's what they were originally made for...
Every once and a while my knowledge of a niche subject pays off!
