I've never had a pipe with a silver rim like that. Thought about it many times but with no experience I've wondered how it would "wear" over the years...?

I've got two that I bought as estates and they hold up really well. The rest of my silver caps have never been smoked but I can attest to the durability of the two I do smoke.
