I get messaged every morning on the latest JU drops on ePay. This one was a BIN and looked like it needed little work.

It’s too hot to be outside, so the shop is where I’m at.

The silver ring needed tarnish removed and polished, re-glued it to the shank as it slid on and off easily.

Wiped down the stummel with alcohol to remove grime.

Raised dents in stem and sand out, remove oxidation and polish.

Remove cake from chamber and smooth, inspect. Airway is a little off of center,

It’s got a nice cross grain pattern.

This pipe was smoked, but well taken care of for the most part.

Looks Great! Nice work! What's your process for raising dents? Water and Heat?
Well water and heat will raise dents on wood; fortunately I didn’t have to do that with this pipe.

Indentations on the vulcanite can be raised by applying heat the area, and then filing and sanding. Sometimes an epoxy is also required to fill in dents.
