SPC increases their free shipping threshold

When did this happen? I noticed this yesterday when ordering some Sunbear. It used to be free shipping on orders greater than $95 but it is now increased to $125. I guess now instead of adding a few packs of pipe cleaners to get over the limit, I'll have to add a few extra tins of tobacco.

Was this inevitable? Were they losing money on shipping? Were there recent changes to shipping charges they were reacting to?

Just curious.

I got "burned" by this ordering the last drop of Sunbear, LOL. Oh well. There was a reason why they awarded badges for "UPS Freeloader." Not surprised at the adjustment. Spending an extra $30 to save $10 is not a big ask.

There were indeed some major pricing changes from USPS over the past month, so this is kind of no surprise...

Yeah, looks like July 13 across the board averaging 6-8% increase on all shipping tiers at USPS.

My last shipment before the increase was delivered directly by UPS not transferred to USPS and it came one day faster. They are on my street almost every day so I never understood why the USPS was ever involved. 2 cents

Shipping has become so damned expensive. I've been mailing a lot of stuff lately, and I'm shocked at how prices have gone up. OK, NOT shocked, but certainly dismayed. That retirement cave in the mountains is looking more appealing all the time. Sell everything, buy a lot of Ramen....

Not for me! I bought a small pile of forever stamps years ago. Still have most of them.
