Have you not paid attention here? The pipe makes no difference, so obviously you suck at smoking . And also it's all in your head that it tastes or smokes any different.

Make sure you smoke it fresh. Drying really puts a damper on the flavors.

For anyone curious, you can turn most pipes into bubble pipes but meerschaum will soak up the soapy water.
