Ready to hit the coast of Maine! Pipes, tobacco and cigars are all packed. I’ve got my Bulldog Meer, my Halloween 2024 Dracula and an unsmoked 1960s Dr. Grabow Starfire.

I intend to mostly drink the local Freeport-area beers but bottles of Bourbon and Scotch got packed away before I could get a pic. Cheers!

That’s a lot of tobacco - how long will you be gone? I always pack a couple pipes, necessary tools, and like 8 oz. of tobacco on my trips and yet I never end up using any of it. Even on a week long trip up to a cabin (possibly the most perfect place in the world to sit and have a pipe) I never once pulled them out. Never quite find the right moment.

But I still spend time choosing just the right things to bring haha

We have friends in Portland.
When talking about Portland is literally the only time I say what a charming city.
It could not be more cliché New England.
Great restaurants, great fishing, great people, great atmosphere....
Have fun.

Each tin is only about an ounce. So not a lot. I’ll do more damage with cigars. The place we are renting has a deck that overlooks the water from afar. Weather forecast looks pretty good right now and I plan on getting through a stack of books and smokes.

Portland is a great city. I’ve visited a few times and I have really enjoyed it. We’re about a half-hour north and will spend some time there and Freeport too. Also have an overnight to Acadia/Bar Harbor.
