Hi, I needed only a couple of 8oz mason jars. I've always loved Ball, but no longer come with the wide mouth. It's a different company now. I just needed them for 2 for two oz blends. Yes, they will fit 2 oz. when you compress them. My fingers; however; reach just past halfway, so it is going to be a pain when removing that last ounce. Rrr! Anything over 4oz, buy wide mouth only.

Lately I have found myself using old coffee mate 500 serving jars. Cleaned with just water and dried with a paper towel. The lid is massive and the container holds a lot of tobacco. I got this idea after reflecting upon how every tobacconist I visit usually takes the tobacco from a plastic bin. I do use the mason jars with wide lids as well, especially for tobacco that will age a long time. So far the coffee mate jar has kept my tobacco very fresh; the plastic is food grade and thick, the screw top seals well

I guess I always just dumped the tobacco out of my old jelly jars rather than trying to reach in, but suddenly I need more jars in my life. Off to Wally World....

I typically dump the tobacco into a tray anyway.

I have been buying Norpaco Hot Peppers stuffed with prosciutto and provolone for years. They come in an 8 oz. jar (with a handle) and fit a regular mouth Ball lid. I had 8 or 9 of them laying around the house and they were a logical and cheap solution. I buy lids with silicone seals for less than a buck a pop. I've got about 30 of them now packed with tobacco.
