Been smoking quite a bit or Carter Hall lately. I finally understand the love. Switched back to some Capstan Gold today, however, which is one of my favourites. Wow the Nic hit kicked my butt.

I know how you feel. I usually smoke cheap cigars like Swishers or GyV, but the other day I wanted to smoke a real hand rolled stick of decent dimensions, so I did, and then immediately followed that with a bowl of CVP, and I really enjoyed the change-up from the straightforward, slightly bitter cigar to the much sweeter pipe tobacco - like, REALLY enjoyed it, huffing away like a fiend. I finished that bowl and then it hit me. Sweats, woozy nausea, cotton mouth...blech!! Had some soda and it abated, eventually. It was a good reminder to take it easy with the tobacco.
