I know that one thing I'll never do is be able to spell squirrel correctly without spell check or a dictionary. Any basic mostly insignificant skills or tasks you know it's not even worth attempting to over come?
same here. Also you're more likely to run into those people that are terminally upbeat and positive. Those people get up early. Which is enough to make me suspect it's bad for your brain to do that.Getting up early.

I've never tried that. So no opinion. But sometimes with cuisine there are weird little tricks that are so culturally engrained they don't feel a need to explain it. I have certainly learned that certain French or Indian dishes I would have not gotten down without the help of a native.No matter how hard I try, I am incapable of even the most basic Blanquette de Veau.
