Mee Three!!I have a lot of pages to catch up on!
Nah, I have two tubs of Captain Black Grape and have yet to ghost a pipe. However, I never smoke the same blend more than twice in any given pipe. To me, the secret to anti-ghosting is to switch it up.Feb Pipe Club Meeting, one of my Pipe Club brothers mentioned he had some Capt Black Grape. I asked couple questions about it, then last month (Mar Pipe Club Meeting), "lo & behold", he brought a tin offering me to take a generous sample ... with the admonition that "It'll ghost whatever pipe you smoke it in, even a cob."
I chose to use my oldest cob ('07), a MM Legend (Bent - 5th Ave Bowl). I've smoked a lot of Mac Baren's Plumcake plus other Aros in it, figured no damage could happen.
Smoking Dynamics = I thoroughly dried it, so it smoked fine, not goopy, all the way to the gray ash.
Taste = definitely grape, but as a fruit, who's to say it shouldn't be VS cherry, pineapple, etc?
I've now smoked 2 bowls with enough left for 2-3 more, but I'm going to smoke something totally different in the next bowl, just to see if it's been ghosted.
Interesting ... I wouldn't buy any, plus TR states "No longer in production".
It looks real niceLast night, I gave my ONE Anse the same beeswax treatment I ran on my Bones Bent Apple last month. Enjoying some EMP in it now with a cup of coffee.

Interested to know if that pipe has taken on more color since your last photo. It's a looker, for sure regardless. Both my meers have done so, but it is a slow process.Sir John's Flake Virginia in an Altinok.

Yah, but at this point I don't have enough pipes to do that!Nah, I have two tubs of Captain Black Grape and have yet to ghost a pipe. However, I never smoke the same blend more than twice in any given pipe. To me, the secret to anti-ghosting is to switch it up.
