Fresh Folklore in my Becker Scoop. With some time to explore this blend, fresh and aged, I prefer this one with a few years on it. I mean it’s good, but I think it can be better.
Unfinished Stanwell 139. I absolutely love the shaping on these 139s and this one is the perfect fold and stuff flake pipe. Among all my pipes, this one truly is a favorite. But weirdly enough, this is my only Stanwell 139, and although a favorite, I really don't smoke it often enough. I will have to remedy that, as well as add another to the collection. Filled now with John Aylesbury Dragon Flake.
Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2014 Esoterica Tilbury in a straight smooth Danish gold straight grain undated W.O. Larsen Hand Made in Denmark dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo.
Then, I smoked a bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight 1960s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem.
Currently, I've a third of a bowl left of year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth dark brown octagonal paneled mid-60s-early 70s Corporate Era Barling 4945 London England T.V.F. billiard with a square shank and black tapered square stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Been cleaning estate pipes, and phone chatting about being interviewed about pipe tobacco. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Abner the Eager showed up today, and didn't eat much. He wanted back out, but I took a little time giving him attention. The second I stopped, he went to the back door, and I reluctantly let him go.
