Technically, no one is making fun of the OP. Just some Three Stooges stuff going on to amuse themselves till the OP comes back. I'm not sure I understand why someone would make a post and then wait all day to check it, but... the OP is not being run off.
Wait you can discern the difference between being playful yet helpful and attacking someone. I guess that's why Kevin used threats of violence to get you back as a mod. Kevin is great but I swear every time he gets a new mace he just looks for an excuse to break something. (clearly that's not true. Kevin has never threatened anyone here and might not even have a nice collection of medieval style weapons)
Finally I've had a Morgan as a reaction. IT's all I've ever really wanted. Now I have to figure out what to do with the rest of my life.

I am having a hard time remembering the smell of antibiotics, but... I always water rinse my new pipes, especially if it has a precoated bowl. Most will rinse out nice and easy with warm water, and then I just ream well with a wad of paper towel. Some pipes are famous for their smelly bowl coatings.
It's got to be the bowl coating.
Just like taste, we all smell things differently; I never noticed a smell.
But it rinses out very easily.

Never smelled a thing in all the new Petes I've come by, but I've never encountered antibiotics that smelled either.

If I plan on smoking an estate pipe, part of the cleaning process is an Everclear flush. I can detect no odors after that treatment.

Peterson dip stains their pipes, often leaving stain in the shank, or at least they used to, and I always felt their stain to be of lesser quality to begin with. I haven’t bought one in years, so maybe things have changed, but stain can smell. I’m taking a wild stab, but it would be my guess.
