The audio version on Rick’s book has a lot of additional commentary on the hobby and is a relaxing listen.
Fred Hanna’s book The Perfect Smoke is a good one.
Richard Hacker’s The Ultimate Pipe Book was my entry to the hobby in the early 80’s.
The Pipe Smokers Ephemeris Books 1&2 are the history of the hobby as we knew it.

I’m intrigued with this film, Father The Flame. It is on Amazon Prime Video or whatever they call it. But unfortunately it is not available for showing in this region (the UK).
I'm not sure if this is also region specific but it lists some places to watch it with ads:

Regarding my post above, I should add that the history also includes what happened to Mr. Ehwa, Jr., a sad, sad story.
The Ehwa book has been out of print for decades; but I found a copy on Amazon, also decades ago, when Amazon focused on books. It is indeed a good read.

I loved Rick Newcombe’s two books, In Search of Pipe Dreams and Still Searching For Pipe Dreams. Both are artfully written and help explain the allure of pipe collecting.

Does anyone have any other books on our hobby to recommend? Thanks.
Iain Gately’s history of tobacco, in my opinion, is entirely unsurpassed.

I've read "In Search Of Pipe Dreams" years ago as well as a few others that are still on the shelf, namely:

"The Illustrated History of the Pipe," by Alexis Liebaert and Alain Maya
"The Pipe Smoker's Tobacco Book," by Robert F. Winans
"The Ultimate Pipe Book," by Richrd Carleton Hacker
"The Pipe," by Georges Herment

Good reads...

If you Google ”In search of pipe dreams“ You’ll get a few options to buy the book on Amazon. I just looked myself. After you tap the link to Amazon and are on the page to buy the book you can scroll down to see all the recommendations that Amazon gives you. I’m not sure if you’d find interest in any of these books but the list is quite extensive.
