New Pipe Day! Brebbia ‘1960’ Nera Sabbiata

Sometimes PAD hits me and this year I jumped on this Brebbia ‘1960’ Nera Sabbiata bent bulldog. I’m excited to break it in and see how it smokes.

Nice choice! I love that bowl shape. I have a similar Sabbiata with the angular shank and stem; such a cool design.

Yeah I’m starting to really like the bulldog shape, especially the bents as they make for good clenchers. It’s funny how tastes change over the years. Thought I’d love pokers but after awake bent bulldogs became a favorite. We are spooked for choice when it comes to pipes.

Spoiled for choice. I like spooked better but the main thing is Brebbia is one of the makers that doesn't get talked about enough. They make a great pipe. My oldest is a nice Brebbia Lumberman. Still had the gnome stamp (why did they change that?).

Thank you! First smoke was pretty great so I think I made a solid purchase and I’ll add Brebbia to brands I’d buy again.

Italian pipes were my faves when I first started out. Brebbia will always have a special spot in my heart even though my preference has drifted over the last 14 years. Their Fat Bob, and First Calabash (rusticated) im still very interested in owning. I believe I had the same bulldog but it was virgin finish w boxwood shank extension. It's definitely a handsome pipe
