This is just an informal meetup. Bring a pipe and your favorite tobacco.

This won't be the last Pop Meetup in the Cleveland area, and they won't be all at this location.

Going to have to pass on this one. I live on the far southwest side of town. I mapped the address and it'll take me about an hour and a half to get there, barring traffic.

If you're interested, monthly pipe night at The Pipe Rack in Akron is scheduled for tomorrow night.

That Pipe Rack event seems like more of a presentation and maybe more marketing than just a bunch of guys who sot down for a piping session. Good stuff I'm sure but not what I had in mind.

Thinking of Market Garden next to the West Side Market for Meetup #2. They have an outdoor patio with roaring fires, malt beer, roast meat on the bone...

To be fair, I've only been to a few of the annuals at the Pipe Rack over the years... but they are usually a very nice evening. Last year Eric Nording was there and brought samples to share. There's usually a good group of 10-15 folks, even at the smaller scale events.

I only get there on occasion, as it's also a lengthy trip for me. They are also usually on Tuesday or Saturday evenings, which doesn't jive too well with my schedule.

Anyhow, a few years ago I tried to organize a pipe club Medina County but it didn't get any traction. Seems like a lot more pipe smokers in NE Ohio these days though. Hopefully something sticks.

Maybe. I'm not trying to start a club. Just making space where we can get together and smoke pipes in camaraderie and fellowship.
