Nuts. Probably one of my top five biggest fears. Glad you lived to tell the tale.
it's not really something that's hardly ever fatal. But it does suck terribly.
The way it makes you muscles feel is horrible and oddly interesting. You ever feel your muscles being over worked and sore at the same time they feel that underused soreness like after a long car trip? Yeah you can feel both sensations at the same time. Couldn't sleep. And the heart rate wasn't so much high as over reactive. If I walked at a quick pace my heart would beat like I had ran. Made my hands shake like certain nerve disorders will. And you tummy just won't feel right at all either.
Stupid thing was after I figured out what was happening I didn't get the antivenom because there is a small chance it will make the symptoms worse. I felt like since I could just handle and deal with it as was to not risk it.
Fun fact they'll almost never bite you unless they have egg sacks nearby. I've handled them in the past with no problems.
Oh and one lame thing tried to google search the way the bite looks and got a ton of mislabeled results.
