That is going to be tough. The hole will have to be drilled with a taper bit that matches the taper in the stem. So, it would really only work if there is a lot of extra wood around the tenon, and it is drilled rather narrow to begin with.
Was thinking the same. I saw that Altinay had some spigot stems available but was thinking the drilling would be a little too tight

I asked a repairman about doing this with a briar pipe and to make me a stem to match and he said he couldn't do it.

Anything is possible with enough time, money, and talent. Having said that the amount of those three resources needed often outweigh the end result.

Converting an already carved meer to a spigot would be nearly impossible to do, and it would cost more than just buying a spigot meer.

The shanks on spigot meers are cut in a completely different manner than conventional push tenon meers.
