A Question About Anthology 2023

I’m not assuming anything but I want to know if anyone else’s Anthology looks like this. Questioning the light spots. I don’t care to stir anything up, just curious.

When in doubt, throw it out. Some molds are benign, but many are not. There have been a few threads about mold with this particular release.

Just the thin whitish strands that are intertwined in the tobacco. I have never encountered that so I wanted to ask if that is normal in this blend.

If it doesn't smell like mold, it's probably ok. There are so many things that can look like mold, including the way the casing dries.
You might send the picture to Jeremy Reeves at C&D. He is a straight shooter and will make good if he thinks its mold.

Smoke it up. I have 20 tins of it put away and I don't plan on looking at any of it for 3 years at least and if it has problems I'll then deal with that with the producer Jeremy.

If those are fuzzies, it's definitely mold.

It is a bit hard to tell but it doesn't look like mold to me. Advice about contacting Jeremy is solid.

It almost looks like a smooth shiny cut surface from when they cut the flakes to me but mate I’m no expert

Another test that I've found useful: take a sacrificial slice of tobacco with the substance in question on it and splash it with vinegar. If it dissolves, it's probably crystal salts / plume. Were it me, I'd check them all now and then jar or mylar. No guarantee they'll have the same policies in place in 3 years.
