Leonard Wertzle the former head blender for Lane Limited Tucker GA will tell you they are not the same. I have POUNDS of RLP-6 and five or six tubs of CBW AND I have a few pounds of CBW bulk that used to be sold. The bulk and the tubs and pouch are the same. RLP-6 is a different cut, different casing and different topping. I still smoke all three and the RLP-6 is different. It doesn't even look the same.I called Lane Ltd years ago and they verified that Capt Black White label and Lane RLP-6 are the same blend. Also:

I called Lane Ltd in GA about 20 years ago and they told me they were the same then. Maybe they've changed it? Could've happened after they closed the Tucker, GA plant. It's made by STG overseas now (maybe in Assens)Leonard Wertzle the former head blender for Lane Limited Tucker GA will tell you they are not the same. The $10 an hour customer service reps don't know what the recipe is. You can put the two together and clearly see its different. Who ever told you that most likely never even walked in the warehouse where they processed it.I called Lane Ltd in GA about 20 years ago and they told me they were the same then.
