Ovaltine In Coffee

Anything goes today. No shame in anything you like. I may try the ovaltine myself.

I grew up too poor to drink Ovaltine so I sat in corner with my Hydrox cookies and sulked.

As a child I got very ill with the flu after having Ovaltine. No actual connection but to this day the word alone makes me feel queasy.

Another thing I grew up with along with Marmite
To this day I love Bovril (with a generous dash of white pepper) on toast

Some years ago a very English lady served me a mug of “beef tea” - hot milk and Bovril.
Strangely more-ish.
I can see it as a restorative

Bania was one of the funniest and most memorable of the many characters on there...and Ovaltine always reminds me of him. LOL

PS: and I forgot, I was going to mention, in this interview he says people bring him jars of Ovaltine to sign lol.
