Hank is a good lookin cat. Siamese I think? I admit, I'm a dog person, not a cat person. But I think cats are beautiful. Love the graceful way they move. And their independent nature. I read somewhere, "dogs have owners. Cats have staff".

Tasty bowl of Sutliffe match sunrise in the Irish Seconds XL339S with the Savinelli Dry system stem and 6mm charcoal filter which actually fits the pipe better. The original saddle stem is a bit loose and as soon as I get time I have to heat the tenon slowly and re-fit it per the video on youtube. Very tasty though.
Another plastic free day today; went to Buxton for pub meal & pint, filled my water bottles at the Pump Room drinking fountains and got 20g of loose Coniston Cut Plug to smoke in my clay pipes (took my own re-used baccy packet). Not much single use with me!

Not taking part in the Egremont (Cumbria) clay pipe fast smoke contest as it's same weekend as Derbyshire Woodland Festival. A full day with woodland crafts and Viking re-enactment beats a 2 minute smoke-off hands down!
Not far from finishing this bowl of 1970s R.J. Reynolds George Washington Cut Plug in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a pearl brown acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I actually end up doing this fairly regularly (not the Marlboro Reds part, the snuff + pipe part). It’s not intentional, but I’ll sit down with my pipe and forget that I’ve got a dip in.
