Jens Tao Nielsen and Poul Ilsted have a long history, having both worked at Erik Nording's factory before going off to found their own Svenborg marque with Henrik Jorgensen, way back in the 1970s. Tao and Ilsted still occasionally produce collaboration pieces.
To me, no more than the cost of the briar and stem material. To others :Do you know what they might be worth?
I appreciate your help and i wouldn't think this pipe would come close to that kinda green lolTo me, no more than the cost of the briar and stem material. To others :
Very welcome. I once saw a Bo Nordh go for $30,000. It's all about the craft and those that crafted it.I appreciate your help and i wouldn't think this pipe would come close to that kinda green lol
Thanks I appreciate it. It is a ferndown@Derek777 my question for you is what is that beautiful pipe in your display picture?
The Tao/Ilsted pipes were a line of handmade pipes fashioned for a time by Tao (Jens Nielsen) and the late Poul Ilsted, who previously owned the Svendborg line of pipes. They tend to go on ebay (when available as estates) in the mid-$300 range, far less than the crafted pipes made by either of them individually.Do you know what they might be worth?
