Ahhhh yes. I saw this as well, did you happen to haggle the price down or did you pay the asking? I mean either way it's a beautiful pipe and worth every penny.
Never cared for Yanik's skulls. I prefer anatomically correct and his are more horror movie.
Damn that thing is beautiful. I'll be in the market for a meer at some point in the next few months, so I'll have to keep him in mind. I've seen his work praised elsewhere on the forum too.
I've been looking for a skull for some time and none seem to line up with my taste. Your skull pipe has the attention to detail I would expect but I have yet to find one.
Don't get me wrong, I like his work, even have one of his nudes, but never cared for the skulls.

Sorry for the technical specs but it's this big:
The chamber is actually just a bit deeper but my knuckle gets in the way. About 1.75" deep. I probably have about average size hands.
I don't know why, generally speaking, there are very few anatomically correct/properly proportioned skulls being carved.
They exist but it just seems like they don't show up very often.
Kenan and Ali are the only ones I can think of at the moment, but they are hit or miss. I got lucky with the two I have. Even Baki's looked caricature.

The skill set it took to carve that is of the charts. Very nice acquisition.
