The best sound I've heard in a while

Today I opened a large (8 oz) tin of GLP Gaslight (2016). The can was bulging and ready to blow!
Popping the tab let out an audible "bang" as all those delicious gases escaped, and my nose was assailed with the aroma of aged latakia,

It's enough to make one want to buy these big tins, just to hear them pop!!!

I just realized that one has red Virginias in it. What exactly is the date on the tin?

When I transfered my stash to mylar bags last week, one of my jar lids took off like a rocket. Luckily I caught it, but it scared me and my daughter.

I also have a ton of C&D Burley flake that won't sit flat. Round bottom for sure.

I threw out the tin, so can’t check, but think Oct 2016. There was a date stamp yellow sticker on the underside.

I’ve had tins (C&D style) where some have become pressurized and others haven’t, all with the same production date. None had any detectable leaks.

It’s a mystery.
