If I were considering replacing this acrylic stem with something in a brindle, who would y'all recommend I commission to do it? Any Canadian artisans? I'm not opposed to sending it across the border, but I imagine there's a good chance of customs fees on return.

Dad’s Pipes
and
Reborn Pipes
are both in Canada.

I suspect there are better artisans in the US you could turn to, but, these guys generally do commendable restorations. I suspect they could fashion decent stems.
Reborn Pipes appears to be in the U.S. Their prices are all in U.S. dollars and it says to contact them for shipping outside the U.S.

Dad's Pipes is definitely in Canada. 👍

I'm pretty sure Steve Laug of Reborn Pipes is in Vancouver. I recall his brother is in the US.
You didn't steer me wrong. Steve at Reborn pipes (which is in Vancouver, but his prices are in U.S. dollars because most of his customers are American), has his stems made by Charles Lemon (Dad's Pipes) who's in Ontario. He'll be making me a brindle stem for my SRV at some point in the near future.
