That pipe could be worth millions of euros, now that he's dead. I'm sure they'll end up auctioning his underwear, I mean his underpants.
I was wondering about the pipe. Wouldn't be a surprise. Underpants, if any, are probably already in a landfill.

I'm not first hand familiar with these creatures, but do bedbugs die easily in masses? I would assume that they are actually rather resilient and hard to kill... in which case, I may be ok with us all dying like bedbugs.

He didn't die, he just washed away. Perhaps he has re-established himself at the end of the wastewater stream. All that accumulated soil was his biome. The age of 94 is nothing compared to the age of the soil.
It's his own fault--someone on here must've convinced him to do a hot water flush...
