Ryan Alden Saves a 1904 Peterson Meer Bulldog

Here is a 1904 Peterson Meer Stummel that I was gifted from a very generous and kind Forum member.

I sent the Stummel to my favorite carver after discussing the restemming.

Because I’m an idiot I couldn’t decide on just one stem color and shape so I had three stems made.

In addition to the stems being made the Stummel was fractured and couldn’t undergo the casual yet brutal treatment I bestow on my pipes.

Ryan reinforced the Stummel with a combo of epoxy, delrin, stainless steel and ebonite. A true master.

Might be I prefer a black ebonite stem on a 1904 Pete, but the Irish Green stems are so becoming.

But Ash, with three stems, you could have at least had ONE P-lip made so the pipe feels like a true Irishman....<g>!
