First to try: wet the mortise and the tenon- ooooppss- that's for briar pipes.

For an MM, I'd try glue, and hope someone comes along soon who really knows a lot about cobs.

Would the opposite work? Sticking it in the oven to fix the loose stem on my MM bulldog.

Thank you, I will keep this in mind for the future but the video from wcannoy talks about returning an once-snug stem back to its original snugness; the stem on my MM pipe, which was unsmoked when I bought it, came loose. When I smoke it, it does get tighter but the looseness returns as it cools down. Would this method still work? I guess I’ll give it a try anyways.
