Most blends I smoke have a pleasant aftertaste that lingers for a while. ATM I am laboring my way through a tin of Mac Baren's Virginia no 1. It has absolutely no aftertaste and I find that very disappointing.
So like, the burn that VA#1 scorches down the center of my tongue counts as an aftertaste, ha ha.
Actually, I can taste honey on my teeth after smoking VA#1.

Tinder Box aromatics used to leave a really odd stale aftertaste that diminished the smoking experience. In recent decades, I've smoked mostly non-aromatics, and I get little aftertaste with those, and not much with the aromatics I do smoke.

I love that aftertaste, also in the mustache and beard. And it becomes wonderful when accompanied by an aftertaste of mixture tobacco, brandy, or whiskey. Also with your favorite perfume. It's really something authentic. With Pirate Kake it permeates me to the eyebrows. It's like living in the 60's.
