Good to know in case I do a Thanksgiving Turkey giveaway.

Most wouldn't want a company to give them a live bird anyhow. I mean, I am not opposed to killing my own turkey, and I have done so many times. But, most people... And, just to drop them, even if they expected them to land and live, everyone has to go running around downtown Cincinnati trying to catch their Thanksgiving dinner. They just didn't think the whole thing through.

Yes, I agree. While I no longer eat poultry and while I do not try to convince others not too, I feel like what WKRP did was wrong and think even the most devout meat eater should be offended.

We went canoeing one time and watch 14 wild turkeys one after the other file over the small river we were on. Maybe a hundred yards. Domestic turkeys had no shot being thrown out of an airplane. Then aren't designed to fly but to fill our bellies.

Domesticated turkeys aren't anything like the wild birds. Domesticated turkeys can't even mate but have to be inseminated, I've heard. On a trip to Missouri, we saw wild turkeys everywhere, even standing by the road. They are proud looking birds, and though the females tend to walk behind the male, they are large and impressive in their own right.
