You can only get the blend if you come to the concert though.I haven't actually had any of the C&D Wintertime blends, but "Wintertime Blues" sounds like an excellent name for a song and an accompanying tobacco blend!

Hearthside is still available at Hearthside - Cornell & Diehl Pipe Tobacco | Smokingpipes.com - https://www.smokingpipes.com/pipe-tobacco/cornell-diehl/Hearthside-2oz/product_id/3549292019 they sold all 4 (?) Wintertime Blends around the holidays. I sampled them and enjoyed Hearthside and Evergreen, an 'American' and Va/Per blend respectively; would've gladly stocked up on some if they still had them on offer.
But I too refuse to be bullied into buying a pipe![]()
You make some valid points about Germain & Sons. There isn't a logical reason why their blends can't be made somewhere in the U.S.Dear C&D,
Why can't you buy J. F. Germain & Son and increase their production by 100 times? While you are at it, can you prioritize the shipments to the USA? Being on the Jersey Islands has been a quant custom but they have clearly outgrown the need to stay, so pick up the whole thing and move it to just outside Chicago. That way I can visit the factory and just pick up what I want. Don't move it inside Chicago even though Chicago was voted Best Big City by Condé Nast Traveler five years in a row! (Yeah! Can you believe it? As it turns out LA and San Francisco's decision to let drug addled vagrants put up tents and defecate on the sidewalks really made us shine by comparison. It's also possible none of the voters ever visited Paris) The political demagogues will find a way to tax it right into the ground with their reason being "for the children!" We all know how much school aged kids love them some stoved and pressed Virginias.
I still can't figure out the whole Chicago as the Best Big City thing. I think someone in Chicago has "bought" Condé Nast.
Best Big City to get murdered or mugged in maybe? Is anybody still alive there? You make some valid points about Germain & Sons. There isn't a logical reason why their blends can't be made somewhere in the U.S.
