Sitting on the porch on a sweltering Chicago summer day smoking some D&R Ramback Balkan in a Dunhill Cumberland 6101 apple. I didn't even have to use a lighter, I just held the loaded pipe up to the sun and the tobacco burst into flames.

I was in Chicago last week and found relief from the heat at the Billy Goat Tavern on N. Michigan!

I’ve been smoking it a lot lately trying to get some color in it. I carved it over a year ago, but the walls are pretty thick, so it’s been really slow to color. It’s just now starting to turn tan at the heel.

I'm close to finishing this bowl of Feuerwachter Enterprises Thracian Mixture (Va/Or/Per) in a straight smooth dark brown 1930s (Comoy’s) Guildhall Skirm’s billiard with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
