When my wife and I toured Ireland in 2002, she bought me the Peterson 2002 Pipe of the Year, at the Grafton Street store. It's one of my favorites, for obvious reasons, and a damned fine smoker. I filled it with 1980 Drucquer Royal Ransom, a gift from my friend Fred Hanna, and smoked it with him and my other Saturday ZOOM buddies. A mug of Barrie House Sumatra, from another ZOOM buddy, Barry Goldstein, went well with the Drucquer's.

Did a little snacking, and am a third of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 78 in a smooth straight brown 1949 Yello- Bole Century Model Lovat with a nickel band accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Listening to This Is Your FBI as I work.

Finished work for the day, and am close to finishing this bowl of Peretti Cuban Mixture in a 2016 straight smooth dark brown Peterson Sportsman 87 apple with a nickel cap military mount and a tapered black acrylic fishtail stem. And that'll finish me for the day, too! :)

@halfdan is that a slow smoking competition ?
Cheers

@Ettrick puffer Fastest time; but I would like to improve my slow smoking times - the most I've ever managed is 24 minutes with a clay pipe of Condor Ready Rubbed. Problem is I puff a bit too hard because I keep thinking it's going to go out and relighting is against the rules!
I think Redcoats would be more impressed by keeping your pipe lit the longest than smoking it the fastest!
About 10-15 minutes is more normal for me as clay pipes burn hot and they have fairly small bowls.
When re-enactment starts again I'd like to see how long I can keep my clay pipe burning...
