Pipe-Spotting in 'Supergirl'

Don't judge -- my wife and I are wading through the moderately entertaining mediocrity of 'Supergirl' on Netflix. Mainly I watch it for the Martian Manhunter, who has always been one of my favorite characters in the DC Universe. Well wouldn't you know it, in S04E12, when we're getting a look at the new private-eye office of J'onn J'onnz, a couple of quick takes reveal a pipe rack on top of his desk. I had to exclaim loudly when I saw it. Though I don't know as how J'onn could smoke a pipe when he's mortally afraid of fire.
There may be some better shots but I didn't have the patience to scan through. One of the pipes has a silver band. Being several hundred years old, J'onn could easily have held onto a pre-Republic Peterson.

Crap on a cracker, do they know about thi s?? The producers of the show I mean. This is probably the thing that got them cancelled. Is that Dennis Haysbert??

If you like Supergirl- you really should check out the new season of Superman and Lois.

It's excellent. Basically no politics or political agendas. The writers care about the characters and their histories. It's a diamond in the CW rough.

Totally agree. Nice to see Superman portrayed as just plain old good, but not saccharine. The fake muscles on the suit are pretty ridiculous though.
